Regulations: Guest Rules

Thank you for choosing La Marea Apartment for your stay. Please familiarize yourself with the following rules to ensure a pleasant and hassle-free experience.

§1 General Provisions

  1. These rules apply to all Guests staying at La Marea Apartment, located at C. Monte Paraíso, 33, 29649 Calahonda, Málaga, Spain.
  2. The term "La Marea Apartment" refers to the owner of the apartment, while the term "Guest" refers to the tenant.

§2 Check-in and Check-out

  1. The tenant must present a valid ID, passport, or driver's license (original) at the time of handover of the Apartment/House.
  2. The tenant must be at least 21 years old at the time of rental.
  3. The apartment is rented for a minimum of 3 nights.
  4. Check-in is available from 4:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM.
  5. For the safety and comfort of all guests, it is not allowed to invite unregistered persons to the apartment. A fine of 500 EUR will be imposed for violations, and unregistered guests will be asked to leave the premises.
  6. A refundable deposit of €200 is required upon rental. The deposit must be paid no later than the day of rental. In case of a bank transfer, funds must be credited to the owner’s account before handover of the Apartment/House. The deposit will be refunded within 7 days after the return of keys and inspection by the administrator.
  7. Guests wishing to extend their stay must request an extension at least 2 days before the planned departure date, subject to availability.
  8. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. La Marea Apartment reserves the right to refuse service to guests who do not comply with these rules.

§3 Reservation and Check-in Procedure

  1. Reservations can be made online, by phone, or via email.
  2. During the rental period, a maximum of 4 people may stay in the La Marea Apartment. In case of more people staying (up to 6), the Guest is obliged to inform La Marea Apartment immediately. A surcharge will be applied for each additional guest per night.
  3. Prices listed in the price list are gross and apply for up to 4 guests. Additional guests may stay for an extra charge of €10 per person per night.
  4. To confirm the reservation, a deposit of 30% of the rental value must be paid within 3 business days to the account: Leszek Radzikowski, IBAN: ES72 0081 0619 5100 0298 1901, BIC/SWIFT Code: BSABESBBXXX.
  5. The reservation is confirmed once the confirmation is sent via email to the provided address.
  6. Guests will receive a full set of keys.
  7. Prices listed on the La Marea Apartment website include VAT.
  8. The full payment for the stay is required in advance – 14 days before arrival.
  9. In the case of early departure, no refund will be given for unused days.
  10. Cancellation policy:
    • Free cancellation up to 30 days before the arrival date.
    • From 30 to 7 days before arrival – 50% refund.
    • Less than 7 days – no refund (100% of the payment).
  11. Leaving the apartment after 10:00 AM on the day of departure will be treated as an extension of the stay.
  12. Guests are not allowed to share the apartment with third parties.
  13. All issues with the service must be reported immediately via email to admin@directestates.es or lamareaapartament@gmail.com.
  14. Complaints will be addressed within 14 days.
  15. Refunds will be processed using the original payment method.
  16. Pets are welcome, but the Guest must obtain written consent from La Marea Apartment for the pet's stay. In this case, the deposit increases to €500. The Guest is fully responsible for any damages caused by the pet during the stay.

§4 Lost and Found

  1. Personal belongings left behind will be sent to the indicated address at the Guest's expense.
  2. If no instruction is provided, items will be stored for 1 month.

§5 Additional Provisions

  1. We reserve the right to refuse service to guests who have previously violated the regulations or caused damage.
  2. Pets are not accepted - without prior written consent of the apartment owner and without paying a higher deposit amount.
  3. For fire safety reasons, it is forbidden to use candles, heaters, electric kettles, and similar devices, except those provided by La Marea Apartment. Chargers for phones and laptops are excluded from this rule.
  4. Smoking is prohibited, including the use of e-cigarettes. A cleaning fee of 500 EUR will be charged for violations.
  5. Dangerous goods, weapons, and ammunition are strictly prohibited.
  6. Guests are required to report any damage immediately. Guests are financially responsible for any damage caused.
  7. La Marea Apartment accepts limited responsibility for loss or damage to money, securities, valuables, and other high-value items.
  8. All items in the rooms and common areas are the property of La Marea Apartment and must not be removed. Guests are financially responsible for any missing items discovered after check-out.
